Winter Reset Day Retreat
with Katie B
Begin the year with a nourishing day retreat with Katie B
An afternoon designed with YOU in mind as we move in to the new year.
Offering you space to rest, replenish and nourish your heart, body and soul through nourishing, therapeutic, heart centred practices.
We will begin with a grounding practice to welcome everyone to the space and collective energy. This includes pranayama, nervous system regulation and gentle movement to warm up.
We will then move to a more dynamic practice of Vinyasa Flow, suitable for all levels. Katie is known for bringing a fun and functional approach to her teaching, with purpose to every posture, and adapts the practice to suit all. Modifications will be offered throughout the practice.
Take time to further relax, chat, and gift the body nourishment while enjoying warming teas and nourishing snacks.
After our comfort break, we move towards our final practice of the day - a full Restorative Yoga practice.
Restorative yoga is a slow and gentle practice which initiates deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit, and allows the body to heal. It enables us to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system, the place where the body can heal and renew itself fully.
This retreat is an opportunity to embrace a full yin & yang practice, created to give you space for a
beautiful day of self care, after the busy season. There can be pressure to begin the year ‘strong’ on January 1st, but this is a chance is reset and rest back in a day of movement, rest, comfort and connection.
Come solo, or with family & friends. All are welcome here. ❤️
When: Sunday 26th January
Time: 2pm - 6pm
Location: Kindred Studios, Strandhill
Price: €75
*Early bird price €65 if paid in full by 5th January

* All practices are suitable for all levels and are beginner friendly.
About Katie B
Katie is the creator and founder of Kindred and it has truly been a dream come true to see Kindred come to life.
Movement has been a lifelong way of living for Katie, but Dance and Musical Theatre became her passion from the age of seven, studying with Mary Mc Donagh & Steffen Jorgenson of Chapel Lane School of Performing Arts, the leading theatre school in Sligo. This led her to train and perform professionally in both, in Ireland and the UK.
Discovering yoga over 20 years ago, her regular practice began with Iyengar Yoga with Helen Gillen as a teenager. It complimented the intense world of the Performing Arts, and enticed her immediately. It became a part of daily life for Katie, as she explored different schools of yoga in London, Ireland and around the world..
Katie has been teaching movement since her early teens and loves to teach in a fun and functional way, and feels drawing from different types of movement is beneficial for her body rather than repetition of one practice, which is something she brings in to her classes.
Some of Katie’s yoga trainings include:
Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga with Assists, Relax and Renew® Level 1 & 2, Hatha Yoga, Functional Yoga as Therapy, Therapeutic Applications of Restorative Yoga, Myofascial Release, Children’s Yoga, Menstrual Cycle Awareness & Restorative YTT, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Children with Special Needs, Yoga Nidra, Trauma Sensitive yoga Skills, Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer Care, Trauma Informed Teaching, Pregnancy Yoga, Restorative Yoga with Assists, and Mum & Baby Yoga.
Katie has done further study in MCA with Red Alchemy & the Red School and trained in Creation Template Healing, Golden Tera Mai Reiki and Rahanni Healing.
You are sure to find variety in Katie’s teaching schedule, and she is excited to share all with you at Kindred.
